Finally, a pattern for use with variegated yarn that has some nice detail. Adding cables or lace with a variegated yarn can sometimes cause the pattern to get lost in the color changes. With this simple slip stitch, it adds some noticeable detail without any difficult steps.

Baby – 15-16” (38.1-40.6cm)
Toddler – 17” (43.2cm)
Child / Small Adult – 20” (50.8cm)

XL Adult – 24” (61cm)

MATERIALS NEEDED:
Yarn:
100-200 yards worsted weight yarn. (Sample is made in Loops and Threads worsted weight acrylic, but you can substitute any worsted weight yarn as long as gauge is met. If you don’t meet gauge then adjust needle size accordingly)

Recommended needles (check gauge and change size if needed):
• US #8 (5.00mm) DPN’s or circular needle
• US #9 (5.50mm) DPN’s or circular needle

Notions:
Stitch markers, yarn needle or crochet hook

GAUGE:
17 stitches & 27 rows = 4 inches/10cm in stockinette stitch
